| Balti Dish |
The balti dish from the Royal al-Faisal restaurant is the perfect representation of multicultural Birmingham and England. The balti does not exist in on the Asian subcontinent, but was probably invented in Birmingham over thirty years ago. Since it was invented it has spread throughout England and is now one of the nation’s favourite meals. The ‘Balti Belt’ in the Sparkhill area of the city is now a tourist destination and famous all over England. Institute: Birmingham Museums and Heritage Your Comments (0)
