This image is from the National Cycle Archive collections. It is from a scrapbook of press-cuttings of the London Bicycle Club, 1875-1882. This image shows a meeting in November 1878 at Lillie-Bridge, Brompton at the start of a 10 mile race. The report of the race states that a number of riders were badly injured when they were thrown off their bikes. The cyclists’ names have been added above.
